A night of eclectic energy from the Sally Greenaway Project

This Friday ArtSound FM is proud to bring you the Sally Greenaway Project featuring Hugh Deacon on drums, Raf Jerjen on double bass, Marie Le Brun on vocals, Sally Greenaway on piano and special guest Neils Rosendahl on Sax!

Originally formed as an outlet to perform, record and experiment with original compositions, the project has now grown to include fresh arrangements of jazz standards, with even the odd jazzed-up classical work thrown in! They have performed at sell-out concerts at Alliance Francaise, Merimbula and Moruya Jazz Festivals and numerous other venues, tantalising audiences with fresh ideas and big aspirations.

A long time supporter and friend of ArtSound FM, Sally Greenaway has put together a night of eclectic energy with a mix of standards, modern jazz, spicy latin, reflective French and European jazz, and original compositions and arrangements.

This is a group in a genre all of their own! Remember if you enjoy our concerts and would like to show your appreciation of our musicians don’t hestiate to give us a ring on 6295 8444 or send us an email to onair@artsound.com.au

Friday Night Live features live performances from the ArtSound recording studios and pre-recorded concerts from venues around the Canberra region including the Gods Cafe, Canberra Southern Cross Club, the Street Theatre as well as some of the world’s top festivals. You’ll hear interviews with band members and news of the latest jazz gigs around Canberra.
