This week on Friday Night Live audiences will be treated to a re-broadcast of the Leigh Barker Quintet live at the God’s Café, ANU Arts Centre.

Recorded by ArtSound FM volunteers as part of the annual “Jazz at the Gods” series, the program features the complete concert by this innovative young group. The Leigh Barker Quintet includes Leigh Barker (bass), Matt Boden (accordion), John Felstead (sax), Al McGrath-Kerr (drums) and Eamon McNelis (trumpet).

This Quintet mixes hard swing, blues, beautiful ballads, great melodies, hot Jazz and world music for a very entertaining evening.

Friday Night Live features live performances of local and national jazz musicians. Concert will come to you live from the ArtSound recording studios and include pre-recorded concerts from venues around the Canberra region including the God’s Café, Canberra Southern Cross Club, the Street Theatre as well as some of the world’s top festivals.
